'He wants to kill us'— Gazans fear for the worst as Trump severs aid to Palestinian refugees
http://mondoweiss.net/2018/01/severs-palestinian-refugees/
Dr Stella Nyanzi has had an unbeaten run in attacking different people online but on Thursday (today) she got a taste of her own medicine when her own sister, Sheila Nyanzi hurled grenades at her on a social media post.
The troublesome post was about how the now warring siblings' parents used to fight in their children's presence. Nyanzi who said she was reminded about the domestic violence she witnessed as a child after watching drummers play the engalabi, a traditional Buganda drum, wondered how a husband who inflicts pain upon his spouse can also be very sweet to outsiders.
"My parents' violence made me a fighter. I am a fighter because throughout my life I watched my mother fighting back against the aggressor in her husband, my father. I am a fighter because I know what it means to sit back and do nothing against violent aggressors. I am a fighter because I know that even when the violated walk away, their violent aggressors return again and again to beat them up. I am a fighter because I know that one day my mother used her sharp incisors to inflict a lesson upon my father's slapping arm. She bit him so hard that she wounded and scarred his arm forever," Nyanzi wrote.

This however did not go down well with Nyanzi's younger sister, Sheilah Nyanzi who immediately told her to stop making up stories about their dead parents just to get cheap popularity.
"Stop using our dead parents who can't defend themselves in their silence to spice your writings. Why didn't you write these in their lives (when they were alive) so that they could speak up for themselves? This is 2018 and we are ready to defend the honor of our parents against your viciousness. We will fight for their honor by speaking truth back to you. RIP Mum & Dad," Sheila wrote.
Never one to back down, Stella fired back, "Shall I write the truth, Sheilah Nyanzi, about the nights we spent hiding under the bed with you and our other two sisters as our father brutalized our mother with blows, slaps and insults?"
The younger Nyanzi sister was having none of Stella's truths. She called Nyanzi a liar who lives inside her head.
"You have long suppressed truth with concealment of full facts. You distort narratives with half truths about other people. You need to tell the truth in its entirety, otherwise you trade in lies. You cannot pretend to speak if you are living a lie yourself," Sheila wrote.
More dirty laundry was exposed when Nyanzi revealed that her mother even miscarried a pregnancy after receiving beating from her husband.
"Shall I write the truth about how Daddy beat Mummy when she was pregnant with Saatuka? Shall I write the truth about his violence to his pregnant wife leading her to miscarry and lose the child?"
The bitter exchange has divided the controversial professor followers into two camps; Team Sheila and Team Stella while others questioned if the two are actually sisters.
Stella later proved that she can hit below the belt when it comes to sibling fights when she revealed that Sheila might not have been her father's daughter.
Below is the full post:
"Go and tell your mother to show you your true father," my father screamed at my sister who is also my mother's last borne child.
As I witnessed my father humiliating my baby-sister, I realised that men can become ugly vile animals when they hate a woman who has borne them children. My heart tore as I watched my sister breaking down in bitter tears. My heart tore even much more when I witnessed my mother's emotion-filled attempts at comforting my bitterly weeping sister.
"Mummy, why does Daddy say that he is not my Daddy?" She bitterly asked between sobs.
"He is your father. Stop crying Sheilah," my mother said over and over again.
As children growing up in a violent home, it was very painful to watch my father and mother using us the children as weapons in their fights. I have always wondered why my father would tell his own daughter to ask his wife such questions. I have also grown up wondering if my siblings ever recovered from the traumatic effects of the barbs from my father's mouth. How twisted does a child get when her own father denies her? How does this child ocercome the pain of such trauma?

Volunteering is a great way to gain in-the-field experience, see first-hand how charities are run, and meet people in the industry. But recently, international volunteering has become a controversial topic, with a growing number of for-profit companies offering costly, short-term volunteer trips, leading to scrutiny of their effectiveness and ethics.
To help you navigate the programs, here's a list of no-cost volunteer opportunities that provide worthwhile assistance to the communities hosting them.

The American is seen executing a prisoner in vile ISIS propaganda video.

An ISIS henchman filmed beheading a Kurdish man in a jihadist propaganda video has been confirmed to be an American citizen from New Jersey.
Zulfi Hoxha, 25, the son of immigrants from Albania who once ran a pizzeria just outside of Atlantic City, is in Syria fighting in the ranks of ISIS as a senior commander for the radical organization, it was confirmed on Friday.
This is the first time ever that the American government has positively identified its own national in an ISIS film.

Zulfi Hoxha, 25, the son of immigrants from Albania who once ran a pizzeria just outside of Atlantic City, is in Syria fighting in the ranks of ISIS as a senior commander for the radical organization
Hoxha's identity was first reported by The Atlantic.
In May 2017, ISIS released a 44-minute propaganda clip that includes comments by a man wearing military garb and speaking English with an American accent.
The American in the video is identified by the name Abu Hamza al-Amriki.
Hoxha is a 2010 graduate of Atlantic City High School in New Jersey
In the video, al-Amriki, who was presumably speaking from a location in northwestern Iraq, criticizes the United States and its allies for its military campaign against ISIS.
He also urges 'muwahiddin', which means 'believers in the unity of God' in Arabic, to carry out attacks against non-Muslims in America.
'Are you incapable of stabbing a kafir [non-Muslim] with a knife, throwing him off of a building, or running him over with a car?
'Liberate yourself from hellfire by killing a kafir.'
Federal records indicate that Hoxha joined ISIS nearly three years ago.
He departed the US for Istanbul on April 6, 2015. The government says that shortly thereafter he crossed over into ISIS-held territory in neighboring Syria.
David 'Daoud Wright, a 28-year-old from Everett, Massachusetts, was sentenced last month to 28 years in a federal prison for providing material support to ISIS and for plotting to kill Americans on the group's behalf.
The federal government has alleged that Wright helped Hoxha join ISIS.
It was during Wright's trial that evidence was introduced which shed light on Hoxha's journey.
In October 2015, two years before Hoxha was seen to use a nom de guerre, a different video released by ISIS shows one of its terrorists beheading a Kuridsh soldier.
His mother, Ltefaji Hoxha, was interviewed by a reporter outside her home in Margate. She confirmed that her son was radicalized in a mosque and that he left the country to fight for ISIS

The terrorist in the video also speaks with an inflected American accent.
An analysis of the two videos from 2015 and 2017 convinced intelligence officials in the US that this was the same person.
Hoxha grew up in the Jersey Shore community of Margate.
In 2010, he graduated from Atlantic City High School, according to WCAU-TV.
His mother, Ltefaji Hoxha, was interviewed by a reporter outside her home in Margate.
She said her son was radicalized in a mosque where 'he hated people.'
'I am upset,' she told WCAU-TV.
'No good. I'm very upset.'
Ltefaji Hoxha said that she last spoke to her son a year ago. Since then, there has been no communication from him, she said.'
Federal authorities have declined to comment publicly on the matter.
The move came as Israel extended detention of 16-year-old girl Ahed al-Tamimi

RAMALLAH, Palestine
The Palestinian Authority has submitted a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) over Israeli violations against Palestinian children.
The move came as Israeli authorities extended the detention of 16-year-old girl Ahed al-Tamimi for the fifth time on charges of attacking Israeli soldiers.
In a statement on Saturday, Foreign Minister Riad al-Malki called on ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda to "exercise her legal authority without delay to prevent the continuation of crimes being committed against the Palestinian people."
He cited the case of al-Tamimi, who was first detained by Israeli forces on Dec. 19 as "another proof on Israeli policies and crimes" against the Palestinians.
"This complaint against Israeli criminals is a proof on the necessity to accelerate the opening of a criminal investigation to guarantee fair justice to Palestinian children and victims," he said.
Last week, the Palestinian Central Council announced the referral of the issues of Israeli settlement building and Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails to the ICC.
According to Palestinian figures, over 6,400 Palestinians are being held in Israeli prisons, including 300 children.
--The $500Million Abacha Loot Which Was Recovered Is Missing
$500 million recovered from the slush accounts of Sani Abacha in foreign countries during the Goodluck Jonathan administration has disappeared, The Nation reports.
The money was reportedly released to the Nigerian government after negotiations with foreign governments, the agreements including that the Nigerian government would employ the recovered funds in developments, including infrastructure such as roads, water, healthcare and education.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly found that $500 million out of the recovered funds cannot be accounted for.
Of the $500 million, the sum of $250 million has reportedly been discovered by the EFCC to have been released to the Office of National Security Adviser (NSA)while Sambo Dasuki headed the office.
The fact sheet of the investigation, as seen by The Nation, reveals that the $250 million was withdrawn between March 2, 2015 and April 21, 2015.
$36,155,000 was reportedly found to be withdrawn "without any purpose" on March 2, 9, 16 and 18, 2015.
The fact sheet also revealed that the office of the NSA, in a memo dated January 12, 2015, requested that the former Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, remit the sums of $300 million and £5.5 million.
"Please refer to our meeting on recovered funds. You are please requested to remit the sum of $300m and £5.5m to the following account being ONSA share as agreed. Account name: CBN (NSA Foreign Operation; Account number: -100367-USD-CABANK30
Bank Address: 28, Finsbury Circus, London.
Please accept the assurances of my highest esteem," the fact sheet read.
In a memo dated January, 20, 2015, the former coordinating minister for the economy, Okonjo-Iweala, wrote to the President asking for the approval of the remitting of the sum of $300 million to the office of the NSA, the fact sheet read.
Attached, please find a request by the NSA for the transfer of $300m and British pounds (£5.5m) of the recovered Abacha funds to ONSA operations account. The NSA has explained that this is to enable purchase of ammunition, security and other intelligence equipment for the security agencies in order to enable them confront the ongoing Boko Haram threat.
His request is sequel to the meeting you chaired with the committee on use of recovered funds where decision was made that recovered Abacha funds would be split 50-50 between urgent security needs to confront Boko Haram and development needs (including a portion for the Future Generations window of Sovereign Wealth Fund).
This letter is to seek your approval to borrow these funds, for now, to disburse to the NSA. These funds form part of projected FG Independent Revenue to be appropriated.
In light of this and for accountability, given the peculiar nature of security and intelligence transactions, we would expect the NSA to account to your Excellency for the utilisation of the funds.
The former president Goodluck Jonathan had reportedly replied to the memo, writing: "CME/HMF, approved."
However, it has reportedly been discovered by the EFCC that only $250 million of the $300 million requested by the office of the NSA was remitted.
An EFCC source who spoke to The Nation under the condition of anonymity said Okonjo-Iweala would be contacted to explain the contents of her letter. The source said:
We will need to interact with the former Minister of Finance, Okonjo-Iweala, to guide us on the contents of her letter, especially on the legality of the withdrawal of the $250million.
We will find out what she meant by to 'borrow these funds' and these 'funds form part of projected FG Independent Revenue to be appropriated.' She should assist investigators on whether or not the ex-NSA accounted to Jonathan for the 'utilization of the funds.

A British Airways pilot was taken off a plane on suspicion of being drunk, officials said, before the aircraft took off from London's Gatwick Airport.
The pilot was removed and arrested Thursday night before the British Airways Boeing 777 departed to Mauritius. The incident delayed the flight's departure by more than two hours.
Police "received a report of a member of airline staff suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol at Gatwick Airport," a Sussex police spokeswoman told CNN.
© AFP/Getty Images/File British Airways is "taking this matter extremely seriously" and assisting police, an airline spokesman says. "A 49-year-old man from Harmondsworth, West Drayton in Hillingdon, was arrested on suspicion of performing an aviation function when the level of alcohol was over the prescribed limit," the spokeswoman said.
The man was still in custody as of Friday night.
A British Airways spokesman said the airline was "taking this matter extremely seriously and are assisting the police with their inquiries."
"We are sorry for the delay to our customers," the spokesman said. "The aircraft remained at the gate until an alternative third pilot joined the flight crew. The safety and security of our customers and crew is always our top priority."

A suspected jihadi bride who returned to the UK having given birth to a child under Islamic State rule in Syria has been bailed after she was arrested at Heathrow.
The woman, 27, whose identity has not been revealed arrived on a flight from Addis Ababa and was arrested on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts under section 5 of the Terrorist Act 2006.
It is thought this is the first case of its kind involving a mother and a child born into the ISIS regime.
MI5 has previously said around 850 extremists from Britain travelled to the Middle East as ISIS took control of pockets of Syria and Iraq.
And as the terror group is flushed out of its former strongholds, many of its militants with British passports are returning home with their families.
The mother is the latest in a string of arrests made by British counter-terror police bracing itself for an influx of jihadi brides.
Among the blacklisted British citizens still thought to be living within ISIS territory are Omar Hussain, a former Morrisons supermarket security guard-turned jihadi recruiter from High Wycombe, Aqsa Mahmood (pictured), a Glaswegian who went to Syria to marry an ISIS fighter aged 20, and London-born Muslim convert Grace Dare, whose ISIS husband Abu Bakr has since been killed
The child, who is younger than two-year-old, has been taken into care, according to the Sunday Times.
It is understood the woman flew from Ethiopia in an attempt to cover her tracks, but counter-terror officers were waiting at the airport for her when she landed.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: 'She was detained under PACE and taken to a south London police station, where she currently remains in police custody.'
While the inquiry continues, the boy has been taken into care as counter-terror police continue to crack down on Britain-bound terrorists.
Sally Jones (pictured) was killed in an airstrike in June but the future of her son Jojo, who appeared in ISIS' sick propaganda videos, is unclear
White Widow Sally Jones, a 49-year-old mother-of-two from Kent, was another regular visitor
Last year, ministers stripped more than 150 jihadists of their citizenship and banned them from Britain, as intelligence chiefs warned they may return from war-torn Syria and unleash a new wave of attacks.
Many of those returning were trained in the use of explosives and firearms as they took part in ISIS's bloody rampage.
Time is running out for the government to act before ISIS falls, as it can only strip citizenship of those who will not be left stateless.
In May, security sources said around 350 ISIS fighters had already come back to the UK from Syria and estimate another 300 could yet return.

Tania Joya (pictured) the British ex-wife of a top US ISIS member has said she still loves her former husband - but now believes the Koran is a 'terrible book'
In a tense interview this morning, Tania Joya (left) said she still loved her former husband John Georgelas (right), an American-born convert to Islam with whom she has four children
The British ex-wife of a top US ISIS member stunned Piers Morgan during a tense TV interview this week by admitting she still loves the jihadist and insisting he 'has a good side'.
Tania Joya became radicalised while growing up in Harrow, London, but now lives in Dallas, Texas after fleeing from the terror group and rejecting extremism.
But during a grilling on ITV's Good Morning Britain today, presenter Piers Morgan said he was 'struggling to understand' why she should not be considered a 'potentially dangerous person'.
The interview came to an abrupt end with the DailyMail.com US Editor-in-Chief and co-presenter Susanna Reid shaking their heads as the former jihadi bride admitted still loving ex-husband John Georgelas - an American-born convert to Islam with whom she has four children.
Joya said she was 'pretty sure' Georgelas was still fighting for ISIS in Syria but that he had given her 'four beautiful, lovely children' and insisted 'everybody has a good side, everybody has a bad side'.
The woman arrived on a flight from Addis Ababa to Heathrow Airport (pictured) and was arrested on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts under section 5 of the Terrorist Act 2006.
British anti-terror police have stepped up arrests in the wake of three terror attacks in the UK last year.
On March 22, Khalid Masood killed five people when he ploughed a hire car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before launching a knife attack in the capital.
Just over two months later on June 3, a copycat attack on London Bridge claimed the lives of eight victims when Khuram Butt, Rachid Redouane and Youssef Zaghba used a van and knives to slaughter people in Borough Market.
It came days after Salman Abedi blew himself at Manchester Arena using a homemade bomb killing 22 Ariana Grande fans who were piling out of the venue on May 22.
A series of other terror plots, whose perpetrators travelled to the ISIS warzone have been thwarted, including that of so-called 'Surgeon' Tarik Hassane, who wanted to attack police.
ISIS is currently facing multiple offensives in both Iraq and Syria, with US-led airstrikes, Russian and Syrian forces as well as Kurdish and other groups pushing them back.
