August 9, 2016, SPLM-IO accused government for bombarding civilians areas in Central Equatorians in hunt for their leaders. Speaking to Africans Press in and around Juba, SPLM-IO general who prefer not to reveal his name says that Paul Malong ordered his SPLA-In Government to bombard all civilians houses in hunt for Dr. Riek Machar.
However, he says Dr. Riek is safe, they can bomb all villages in Central Equatoria as they wants but they are only killings civilians
