Cord and Jubilee leaders were on Tuesday seen "chatting and laughing" even as the public remains tensed on the IEBC stand off.

The leaders were hosted to a luncheon by President Uhuru Kenyatta at State house in honour of visiting Republic of Korea President Park Geun-hye where they ate, drank and made merry.

Pictures released by State House showed Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery holding Cord leader Raila Odinga in a manner suggesting the two shared "another hearty joke".

On the same picture, Majority leader Aden Duale was seen laughing with Raila as they exchanged smiles.

Via Twitter handle, Duale wrote;

The pictures which went viral, saw many people urging the public not to engage in fist fights over the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

Another user Alice Wambua said: "As Kenyans plan to throw stones at each other, the leaders are busy having lunch at the State House,"

Another user asked;

The President had hosted the fete in honor of the South Korean President Park Geun-hye at State House, Nairobi.

Geun-hye witnessed the signing of various agreements between Kenya and South Korea. Earlier, the two presidents held bilateral talks.

The South Korean President was formally received by Uhuru. She arrived in the country on Monday for the state visit.

She was accorded full military honors that included a 21-gun salute, with the Kenya Defence Forces band playing the national anthems of Kenya and South Korea.

Thereafter, President Geun-hye inspected a colorful guard of honor mounted by a detachment of the Kenya Air Force.
